Deliverance’s 20th Birthday Party

Deliverance is 20 years old & we’re using it as an excuse for riding bikes, socialising & being nostalgic about the “good old days” when mountain bikes borrowed their geometry from road bikes & were thus designed to kill you.

Deliverance is a grade 5 mountain bike trail built by Mud Cycles staff in the late 90s. It descends from Wright’s Hill to South Karori.

In 1999 Deliverance was decided to be more or less rideable & declared it open. Since then it has entertained & broken many a mountain biker, earning itself a bit of a following in the process.

We'd like to take this opportunity to celebrate Deliverance, all the people who've dug/ ridden/ crashed on it & Wellytrack culture in general.
